Neutron looks pretty killer - I have to be honest, I hate that we live in a world now where we pretty much want computers to and let computers do everything for us. Someone told me that you can buy something cheap from them and you'll get a crossgrade price and be able to get it for way less so that's cool but looking at the bundles and the ed discount I might be able to skip that step and get a bundle that includes TBC2.
I got to looking at prices - I'm eligible for an educational discount, and some things bundle TBC2 with other things. I downloaded Tonal Balance Control 2 and looked at my mixes and sure enough, a lot of what I was suspecting was pretty clear on the graph.Īnd when I corrected things I felt like the sound improved greatly and it was much more in line with commercially produced music. Upgraded headphones and that helped a ton, but there was think nagging suspicion that other things might be going on.
I had been concerned for some time about issues with my mixes - I already had problems with them translating. Like so many of us hobbyists, I am stuck with a less-then-great room to monitor in, and because of life have to do much of my work in headphones.
